Jakarta, January 3, 2025 – PT Sirkular Karya Indonesia (SKI) together with PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk (Impack) conducted an environmental education activity for children aged 8-15 years. This program aims to introduce the different types of plastic waste and their effects on the environment, while also teaching the importance of sorting and managing waste responsibly. This activity is part of the Meaningful Holiday program series with the theme “Caring for the Environment,” initiated by the Women’s Management Board of the Wihdatul Muslimat Foundation, East Jakarta.

A total of 50 children, accompanied by 15 advisors, enthusiastically participated in this educational session. Not only was theory explained, but the participants also practiced sorting plastic waste by type using resin identification codes. Additionally, they were introduced to the concept of 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) and creative ideas that can be applied in daily life.

Through this program, SKI aims to instill early awareness that every individual, including children, plays an important role in preserving the environment. With this learning experience, the children are expected to become agents of change who inspire their surroundings and continue to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.

SKI and Impack are committed to expanding collaboration with various communities to enhance material circularity and prevent more plastic waste that could potentially pollute the environment.
