The Company collaborated with PT Surya Utama Nuansa (SUN Energy) to install a solar panel on its plant located on Trembesi, Delta Silicon 2, Lippo Cikarang, Jawa Barat, with a capacity of 4,473 KWp.
The solar panel installation on the Company’s largest plant is the second stage of the carbon emission reduction program that has been launched by the Company since 2020. Previously, the Company has installed a solar panel on its other plant on Hyundai, Lippo Cikarang with a capacity of 200 KWp. Not to mention, the Company’s new distribution center located in Surabaya will also be installed with a solar panel with a capacity of 30 KWp.
If the installation of solar panels on all three locations have been accomplished, the Company estimate a reduction of CO2 emission by 4,783 metric tons annually, followed by electricity cost savings of IDR1.1 Billion annually.
The Company is always committed to realizing and improving the ESG scoring that is relevant to the Company’s business activity by contribute to reducing carbon emissions in the environment. For that reason, the Company are determined to continue our efforts to install solar panels on each of the Company manufacturing facilities and distribution warehouses in the future.
Besides the commitment to the carbon emissions reductions, the Company has consistently carried out its sustainable programs, including the product innovation of environmentally friendly roofing products that use PET material, and becoming the pioneer in Solar Dryer Dome, a dryer product in Indonesia which contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and food security for disadvantaged rural communities.
