December 17, 2024 – As a form of support from PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk (“Impack”) in the sustainability aspect, Impack, represented by Sugiarto Romeli, Director of Sustainability and Product Development, participated as a speaker in the exclusive Green Future Summit 2024 forum held by SUN Energy at the Grand Ballroom in Hotel Sultan, Jakarta. The forum focused on the main theme of “Green Industrial Transformation Strategy” and aimed to explore into the strategic role that the green industry can play in supporting Indonesia’s decarbonization agenda and achieving the 2045 Golden Indonesia goals.

During this forum, Sugiarto shared that sustainability has become one of Impack’s main focuses through the company motto of “Doing Well by Doing Good.” Through its Risk Management Team, Impack recognizes that the Company’s biggest exposure lies in the use of raw materials and energy. Regarding energy, Impack has installed and uses solar panels in various areas of its production facilities, successfully reducing energy consumption and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions released by the Company.

Regarding the use of raw materials, Impack, with over 40 years of experience in polymer processing, contributes to solving the plastic waste problem through its know-how, one of which is through the operations of a green business that focuses on circularity, run by its subsidiary, PT Sirkular Karya Indonesia (SKI). PT SKI’s main focus is on processing low-value plastic waste into innovative and sustainable building materials to prevent it from ending up in landfills or oceans.

Additionally, during the same event, Impack received the Green Manufacturing Champion award, demonstrating the Company’s achievement of its commitment to being one of the green companies in its field through the Company’s innovative and impactful business operations and initiatives. This recognition is expected to motivate Impack to continue enhancing its understanding and awareness of the importance of green transformation, especially in the manufacturing sector, as well as help achieve decarbonization targets through its business activities in support of the 2045 Golden Indonesia goals.
